Book Spine Poetry

We’re celebrating National Poetry Month this April with a Book Spine Poetry display on the second floor of the library. What’s book spine poetry? It’s when you use the book titles that appear on the spines of books to form lines of poetry. When you place several books on top of one another, your lines of poetry form a full poem. Not only is book spine poetry a lot of fun, but the possibilities are endless! Come check out the poems we’ve made and feel free to try making your own.

Celebrating Black History Month

The Katharine Brush Library is celebrating Black History Month all February long with a display of books about important black leaders, scientists, artists, musicians, and activists.  Come check out exactly who we’re featuring … and feel free to pass along your own recommendations to us at the Reference desk!  We just might add your suggestion to our display.
