Review: A Tale for the Time Being

A Tale for the Time Being
A Tale for the Time Being by Ruth Ozeki
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A teenage girl’s diary washes up on the shore of a remote island and is found by a writer in the doldrums. Quantum physics, Zen Buddhism, environmentalism, bullying, the Japanese tsunami, suicide, Proust … This is a complicated story with lofty themes (it has footnotes and appendices) that reads just like a great story.
