Review: Carthage

Carthage
Carthage by Joyce Carol Oates
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

An epic saga covering grief, injustices of war, identity, & violence – for starters. This is a slow-building tragedy which drew me in. Not my favorite of her novels (that one is possibly My Sister, My Love: The Intimate Story of Skyler Rampike), but stylistically it is classic Oates.
