Women’s History Month Exhibit

Women's History Month Exhibit

Learn about the amazing accomplishments of Connecticut women by visiting our traveling exhibit! Sponsored by the CT Women’s Hall of Fame, the 18 colorful, free-standing panels celebrating women’s achievements are located in Katharine Brush Library, Clark Science Center, and in Chaffee outside the Norton Center for the Common Good. The panels explore diverse themes such as Suffrage and Civic Engagement, Civil Liberties, and Creative Expression.

Among the CT Hall of Fame inductees are: Evelyn Longman Batchelder, famed sculptor and wife of former LC headmaster Nathaniel Batchelder; and Chaffee graduate Ella Grasso, the first woman to be elected governor of a U.S. state “in her own right”.
